Privacy Notice
Last updated November 4, 2026
Gynovia respects your privacy. This notice explains what we collect in the Pregnancy Passport app, why, and your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
1. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and Passport code.
- Pregnancy and health information you enter: dates, due date, measurements, blood type, medical and pregnancy history, allergies, prenatal visits, questions for your OB, care team contacts and checklists.
- Files you upload: laboratory results, ultrasound reports and photos.
- Technical details for security: signals from your browser that help us block bots (through Google reCAPTCHA), and records of sensitive actions on your account, such as a deletion or data download. These records never contain your health information.
Health information is sensitive personal information under the law. We only collect it because you choose to add it.
2. Why we use it
- To create your account and keep your pregnancy records in one place for you.
- To show you guidance for your stage of pregnancy and, if you allow it, reminders.
- To contact you about your account, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.
- To keep the app and your account secure.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising. The app does not interpret or diagnose your results.
3. Your consent
When you create your passport and tick the agreement box, you consent to us collecting, storing and processing the information and files you add, including your health information, for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to delete your account.
4. Who can see it
- You.
- The Gynovia team can see your name, email and Passport code to manage passports. They do not see your health records through the app.
- Our service providers: Google (hosting, sign-in, storage, bot protection), Resend (account emails) and Cloudflare (our web address). They process your information only to provide these services to us.
- A small number of authorized technical staff, only when needed to keep the app running, protect it, or handle a request you make.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
5. Where it is stored
Your information is stored and processed outside the Philippines: mainly on Google Cloud servers in Asia, with the app's servers in the United States, and account emails sent through Resend in Japan. It is protected with encryption and access controls.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete a pregnancy or your whole account in the app at any time, or ask us to do it. We then delete your records and files right away, unless the law requires us to keep something.
Copies in our secure backups are removed automatically within 14 days. We keep a used Passport code marked as used so it can't be used again, without your name or email. Records of sensitive actions are removed after one year.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- be informed about how your data is used;
- access your data and get a copy of it;
- correct wrong or incomplete data;
- object to processing, or withdraw consent;
- have your data deleted or blocked;
- file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
